The Minister of State and Cabinet 's Member Mohamed bin Abdul Malik Al Al-Sheikh denied that the Kingdom is heading to impose any kind of tax on citizens, while all citizens will learn about developments in the national transformation program with full transparency.
This came in response of the Minister to questions from journalists during the launch of the National Transformation Program in 2020, with the participation of the Minister of Civil Service Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Araj, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh and Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Benten.
The Minister said : The Kingdom's vision 2030 did not have tax on the income of citizens by the government and that was announced before during the launch of the vision, and it was clear and explicit that there will be no tendency to impose income tax on citizens.
On the Ministry of Civil Service initiatives, Minister Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Araj said that every initiative made by the Ministry in the Kingdom's vision 2030 will have a thorough study to be carried out within the framework of the National Transformation Program, and it will be recognized by everyone as well as these developments in the national transformation program with all transparency through media and means of social networking.
He also said, "In the public sector, there is a tendency to raise the percentage of women with respect to higher ranks, improve government work culture, raise the proportion of women in jobs that belong to civil service from 39.8% to 42%, and increase the proportion of women in senior positions with rank 11 and above from 1 % to 5%, indicating that King Salman's program for the development of human resources will significantly help facilitate this.
