King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Centre for Arabic language (KACAl) and Saudi Arabia's National Center for Assessment in Higher Education (Qiyas) won three awards of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for the Arabic language. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum handed Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, the President of KACST an award of the category of Best Project localization and translation in recognition of KACST's efforts in the Arabization of sciences. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also handed Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Mishari, President of Qiyas, an award of the category of best initiative to teach Arabic at undergraduate levels. The UAE Vice President delivered to Secretary General of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Centre for Arabic language Abdullah bin Saleh Alwashmi an award of the categories for best media work in Arabic and best program in language policy and planning. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored the winners in Dubai on Thursday at the opening ceremony of the 5th International Conference for Arabic Language.
