A joint statement issued here yesterday following the end of the visit paid by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defiance, to Jordan. The statement said Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Primer and Minister of Defense visited Jordan at the invitation of King Abdullah II of Jordan. During the visit, the Deputy Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to King Abdullah II. Prince Mohammed and King Abdullah II held a meeting and discussed the overall relations between the two countries and ways of developing them. They also discussed the latest developments on regional and international arenas. The two sides expressed the importance of strengthening political consultation between the two countries on issues of regional crises, and the importance of maintaining the territorial integrity, sovereignty and stability of the region's countries. They also rejected any interference in the region's internal affairs. They also stressed refusal of Iran's policy of interference in the region, which ignites sectarian strife, warning Iran from continuing its current approach. Based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Jordanian King, the two sides agreed to enhancing bilateral cooperation in the following fields: 1- Developing military cooperation to promote security and stability in the region. 2- Enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, uranium mining, and production of electricity using nuclear power. 3- Cooperation in the field of trade to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries. 4- Promoting joint investments in development and investment projects. 5- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a joint investment fund between the two countries. 6- Cooperation in field of transport, particularly with regard to the transfer of goods between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, King Abdullah II sent his greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. The Deputy Crown Prince expressed deep gratitude to the King and the Jordanian government for generous hospitality.
