The Shura Council yesterday demanded that King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) assigns a local neutral authority to conduct a study to assess the feasibility of scientific research and studies financed or issued by the city over the last five years. This came in a decision issued by the Shura Council at its 27th ordinary session held under the chairmanship of its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shiekh. In a statement following the meeting, Dr. Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Samaan, assistant speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, said that the decision was based on a recommendation of Dr. Dalal Al-Harbi, Shura member. Then, the meeting tackled a number of issues relating to the economic cities and technology regions, as well as criminal register and rehabilitation.
