Saudi Arabia regretted the current situation still faced by women in many parts of the world from, and in particular in the occupied Palestinian territories, the risks to the Palestinian women from serious violations of their rights by the Israeli occupation forces and subjugation of Syrian women from due to violations, violence, exploitation and trade, calling the international community to move, fast and hard, to eliminate such inhumane crimes and practices and hold the doers, accountable. He added that "Saudi delegation wishes to congratulate you on holding the 60th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, which is an event of great importance, especially, as it confirms the importance of the international community's interest in women's issues and their sustainable development, adopted in September. I would like to emphasize in this regard the importance of commitment to these esteemed women's issues and work to ensure a brighter future for them, in the light of the challenges it faces. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasizes its firm stance, rejecting categorically, to insert disputed terms of gender, gender identity, sexual education and comprehensive health reproduction, referring to homosexuals in any document issued by your esteemed committee, as our interpretation of the term sex, in any document issued and to be issued by the United Nations, is the men and women, and that any human family association only is confined within marriage between a man and a woman, he stressed.
