Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah stressed the importance of his ongoing visit to the United States of America, saying "This visit is very important because it highlights the great efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through King Salman Center for Relief to the Yemeni people in particular and other peoples in general since the Kingdom is one of the largest countries providing humanitarian works to countries across the globe, pointing out that the Center is doing good qualitative operations represented in the drop of humanitarian aid by air for the people of the Yemeni city of Taiz. In a meeting with journalists at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Washington last night, he said "So this visit came to brief the concerned authorities in the United States, the media and public opinions on the Kingdom's great efforts being exerted for the needy in the world," Dr. Al-Rabiah indicated that the visit came at the invitation of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). With respect to the efforts being made by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid for the relief of the people of Yemen, Dr. Al-Rabiah also said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Center is the largest aid donor that has provided humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni people in 2015 and still continues to provide relief and humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people in 2016, pointing out that "These efforts have covered all cities and provinces of Yemen, regardless of whoever lives in those cities or provinces''. He concluded "As for areas under siege and in particular the city of Taiz, King Salman Center For Relief and Humanitarian Aid was the only party that was able to break the siege and access to the city and carried out good qualitative works such as dropping aid of medical and food relief materials by air."
