The Special Representative of Russian President for the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met here wednesday with the delegation of Foreign Affairs Committee of Saudi Shura Council headed by Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, currently on a visit to Russia, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Russia Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Dawood stressed the importance of Russia's role in confronting Iranian terrorism, as Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries constitutes a destructive element to peace efforts being exerted by the international community in the region. For his part, Bogdanov said that the phone call made by President Vladimir Putin to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Russian-American agreement on Syria reflects the extent of the Russian interest in briefing the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the details of the agreement and listen to the Saudi viewpoint.
