Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Salaheddine Mezouar met here yesterday with Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed issues of common interest. During the press conference held with his Moroccan counterpart, Al-Jubeir stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's policy is clear and constant which is based on respect of the principles of good neighborliness and building bridges of cooperation with many countries of the world with non-interference in the internal affairs of the states as well as supporting the Arab and Islamic nations' issues. The Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Kingdom's keenness on maintaining the Syrian institutions, "we discuss details regarding participation of the ground troops in Syria with the concerned countries," he added, pointing out that Geneva talks are failed due to the Russian intransigence. Regarding the Iraqi affairs, Al-Jubeir said that there is a consensus on the need to ensure the unity and stability of Iraq away from any foreign hegemony. He reiterated the Kingdom's supportive stance on the territorial integrity of Morocco, expressing hope to find a lasting solution to the dispute over Al-Sahara region and attention to the issues of the regional development. For his part, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation expressed the Kingdom of Morocco's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, rejecting all threats on Saudi Arabia. He said that they discussed the latest developments at the Arab and Islamic arenas as well as issues of common interest, "we also discuss works of the Saudi-Moroccan High Joint Committee to be held in Morocco on next May," he added. The meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Saudi ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja.
