The Saudi-Jordanian Joint Economic Committee held yesterday its 5th session in Amman. The Saudi delegation to the meeting was headed by Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Muqbel, Minister of Transport, while the Jordanian side was headed by Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali. Eng. Al-Muqbel delivered a speech in which he thanked the Government of Jordan and Jordanian officials for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded to the Saudi delegation. Al-Muqbel lauded the strong relations between the two Kingdoms under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Jordanian King Abdullah II. The two sides signed a minute of the joint meetings. They also welcomed a growing volume of trade exchange between the two countries and discussed cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, health, food, employment, communications, information technology, housing, culture, media, education, higher education, tourism and others. On the sidelines of the meeting, the two ministers held a meeting. They stressed importance of following-up works of the joint committee and enhancing cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
