The Shura Council today expressed its thanks to and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the invaluable advice he offered to the council contained in his speech delivered at the Council's opening of its fourth year of the sixth session last Wednesday, considering it a clear road map for its members. Prefacing his speech at today's 5th ordinary session, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of Shura Council highlighted the main issues tackled by the King's speech, namely the economic reforms, comprehensive development march and human resources development. In remarks to the press following the meeting, the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Amro lauded the confirmation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in his speech on determination to implement development programs, enhance all political, economical, educational, health, and social aspects of development, the role of the political and security affairs council as well as that of the economic and development affairs council in strengthening the march of development to reach integrity of roles of all governmental departments, pinpointing their responsibilities and professions, complying with new developments, improving the labor environment and consolidating the State's agencies. The Shura Council lauded the King's comprehensive economic reforms vision as depending on upgrading the government expenditure skillfulness, well avail itself of the country's economic wealth, increasing the revenues out of government investments and instructing the economic and development affairs council to put new plans, policies and programs that reflect the leadership's determination to diversify the sources of national income, soar domestic national level and reduce unemployment rates. The statement also praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's clear foreign policy, its firm principles towards Arab and Islamic main issues, commitment to international charters, work to solve disputes through peaceful means, firm stance by the international legitimacy, restoration of rights to their owners and fighting extremism and terrorism as part of the international system. The Shura Council underscored the importance of implementing the bright vision of the King which derives its momentum from the Kingdom's adherence to the holy Quran and Sunna (prophet's sayings and deeds), the service it renders to the two holy mosques and their pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors, a matter that calls on everybody to come to the protection of the national achievements amid extraordinary economic and security situations which blow numerous parts of the world. The contents of the royal address would constitute a road map and working method for its members while studying issues at the council's table to contribute to achieving the aspirations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in pushing the wheels of the comprehensive and sustainable development and meeting the needs of citizens, the Council said, appealing to Allah Almighty to preserve the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense; and help them to do whatever achieves security, stability, prosperity and constant blessings for the whole country.
