The spokesman of coalition forces and advisor at the Defense Minister's office Brigadier Ahmed bin Hassan Asiri has emphasized the strength of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, describing the two countries as two axes in the region and enjoying a political and military weight, and that coordination between them is one of the main stages in the formation of any alliance. In a statement to media, Brigadier Asiri said, on the sidelines of the second meeting of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Coordination Council, which was held here last night, that the cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt is deep-rooted of its kind, and what is happening now is the promotion and consolidation of this cooperation and pushing relations forward for the benefit of the two brotherly countries. On the Islamic military alliance's statement, Brigadier Asiri said: 'The statement's content was clear, and the alliance's countries have the intention, but the work is still going on to prepare for a joint operations center to set the frameworks and mechanisms of action.' On the truce in Yemen, he said, 'The breaches of the truce began by Houthi militias and the forces of the deposed Saleh since the early hours of the truce announcement,' stressing that the command of the coalition monitors this type of violations and responded to them. He drew attention that the truce breaches were on the Saudi border and within the territory of Yemen, pointing out that a report on that was prepared and the United Nations and the countries concerned with patronizing Geneva talks, were informed. Moreover, Brigadier Asiri added that the coalition command realizes that this stage is serious and important to find a peaceful solution, but it has a military commitment to respond if truce breaches occur. Concerning the stages of the 'Renewal of Hope' operation, he explained that it includes three military, political and relief aspects; on the military side, the main goals were completed while on the political side, this is clearly shown by the presence of the Yemeni government in Aden and administering the affairs of the country, and on the relief and humanitarian aid aspect, it is also clearly shown through the great efforts being carried out by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid as the United Nations published a report on the arrival of large amounts of relief materials. At the conclusion of his statement, Brigadier Asiri confirmed that the command of the coalition believes that the strategic objective is mainly based on the safety and security of Yemen away from the interim goals.
