The Saudi Exports Development Authority (SEDA) has succeeded in registering more than 1350 national facility during the first half of 2015 and launched an updated version of the assessment service on the facilities' readiness for exporting, which aims to provide a set of appropriate services for each class of national companies and factories while 177 national establishments have completed the assessment's test on the export readiness via the Authority's website: Saudiexports.sa. During its review of the most prominent works for the first half of 2015, SEDA explained that the beginning of the year was the actual launch of its activities and events during which SEDA seeks to provide services contribute to the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's non-oil globally competitive exports by stimulating and encouraging the national companies to export in a way to be reflected on the growth of their business and contribute to the strengthen of its presence in international markets in line with the requirements of the stage. Meanwhile, the Saudi Exports Development Authority also revealed that it, in cooperation with the exporters, managed to set 51 obstacles during the last period but its strategic partnership with the relevant government agencies contributed to the address of 25 barriers thereof, while the Authority is currently working to remove the remaining barriers, in addition to the study of the current status of the environment and export procedures applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and comparing them with global practices applicable in some neighboring countries. It highlighted that trade missions and matching business is one of the most important services provided by SEDA within the list of its services to promote the access of national products to international markets and in this regard, SEDA has organized a number of agreements and the Saudi Business Forum, which was held in 'Kazakhstan - Azerbaijan' under the business matching service where more than 85 of Saudi businessmen have enjoyed to the Forum. SEDA also reviewed its work to provide the necessary information related to the target market and to clarify the existing demand for a range of goods or sectors of a number of importing countries, and has published reports included information and economic facts about countries such as Turkey, India, and Egypt as well as reports related sectors, including petrochemicals, food, electrical products and packaging in the Middle East and North Africa, in addition to a report on the food sector in Asia. On the other hand, the Authority has completed 31 training courses for Saudi companies 'registered' with 'SEDA', according to its plan to offer 24 different theme through training workshops geared for exporters, which is divided into four time periods covering all exporters categories until 2018. Moreover, the international specialized exhibitions are considered ones of the most important services provided by the Saudi Exports Development Authority which was able to serve more than 800 Saudi companies service since the launch of the pilot phase of the Authority's works at the end of 2013, bringing the number of Saudi companies participating in just the first half of the year 2015 within the Saudi pavilion's participations amounted to 216 Saudi companies in nine international exhibitions targeted food, petrochemicals, plastics, electricity sectors and others.
