At least 28 people, including three children, were killed Saturday when Syrian regime helicopters bombarded an area in the northern province of Aleppo, dpa quoted a monitoring group as saying. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that 19 of the dead were identified as civilians. 'We do not know yet if the others were civilians or militants,' the Observatory's head, Rami Abdel-Rahman, told dpa. The airstrikes targeted the district of al-Bab, about 40 kilometres north-east of Aleppo city. The helicopters dropped explosives-packed barrels on the area, according to the Britain-based Observatory.
