Greece missed the deadline for a 1.6-billion-euro debt repayment that was due at the end of June, the International Monetary Fund said, ahead of an emergency teleconference Wednesday among eurozone finance ministers, dpa reported. 'We have informed our executive board that Greece is now in arrears and can only receive IMF financing once the arrears are cleared,' IMF spokesman Gerry Rice said late Tuesday. He said that a request by Greek authorities for an extension on the missed payment would be sent to the board of the Washington-based crisis lender. Eurozone finance ministers were to discuss the Greek crisis at 11:30 am (0930 GMT), Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem said on Twitter.
