As an extension of the humanitarian initiatives adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince, and in implementation of the King's directives to pay attention to the Yemeni people, the assigned medical team to separate Siamese twins decided the separation's surgery of Yemeni Siamese conjoined twins Abdulaziz and Abdullah, the day after tomorrow, on Friday, corresponding to the second day of the blessed month of Ramadan 1436 (June 19, 2015). The surgery will last up to 12 hours with the participation of nearly 30 specialists from the medical departments of anesthesia, surgery of children, urology, orthopedic, plastic, nursing, technicians and paramedics. Adviser at the Royal Court, General Supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid and head of the medical and surgical team, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah explained that the surgical operation of Yemeni Siamese twins' separation will be carried out at eight stages. He expressed his appreciation to the support and follow up of Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, praying to Allah Almighty to support the medical team to help these twins and wishing the surgery all success. For his part, the father of the Yemeni conjoined twins Fathi Abdullah Hussein Baqyah, expressed his great thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who ordered the facilitating of their arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amid these difficult circumstances experienced by Yemen, expressing his gratitude for the Kingdom's humanitarian deeds towards the Yemeni people.
