The Ministry of Interior announced here today the arrest of 93 persons, all but one were males, for having been involved in terrorist activities, in an attempt to carry out terrorist acts targeting the order and stability in the Kingdom, the Spokesman of the ministry said. In a press conference held at the Club of Officers of the Internal Security Forces here today, he pointed that all arrested persons were Saudi nationals except five: a Palestinian, Yemeni, Syrian and two with Saudi IDs. A many as 65 persons among the arrested have formed a terrorist group connected with the terrorist ISIS, while the other 15 formed a terrorist cell related to the terrorist ISIS, too, he stated, adding that one of them began to form a liaison terrorist cell to communicate with ISIS terrorist organization members, while some of them started diffusing the propaganda of terrorist organizations and acts and recruiting the youths, especially the youngers. The arrest has taken place following discovery of security forces of terrorist activities committed by members of the deviant group, in different regions of the Kingdom, aiming to disseminate pro-terrorist groups propaganda, affronting the Kingdom scholars, considering them as infidels, instigating to commit terrorist acts, polarizing the youths, especially the youngsters to carry out with their terrorist machinations, which was targeting the military, stirring sectarian sedition, carrying out suicide attacks on the U.S. embassy, in Riyadh, through a booby-trapped car, pointing out that the investigations, underway, with the arrested that their preparations have reached advanced stages to carry out the terrorist crimes, which they planned, especially to secure their webs, building training sites, raising funds and recruiting, compiling of information, making explosives and running live experiences to test their explosion power. Then Brig. Gen. Eng. Basam Attiyah, of the Ministry of Interior presented a brief explanation on each group of those arrested, according to their interconnection and the organization binding them or that which they were attempting to carry out or to construct. On rumors and how to reduce them, Alturki reported that the Interior Ministry is doing what it can, and each person must investigate the truth and looking for it at reliable sources, and we have many reliable newspapers, as well as many known TV and radio that represent reliable official sources, warning against searching for news whatever this news from an unknown source as everything that comes from an unknown source cannot be trusted. There is a strong suspicion of their association and relationship to this threat, it's too early to tell anything until the results of investigations confirm the situation that we're dealing with or the opposite, indicating that there is a mutual coordination among the GCC countries in general and it is positive cooperation in such issues. With regard to a question about the use of terrorist groups of rest houses, Alturki confirmed that terrorist seek remote areas for training. Responding to a question, Alturki highlighted the role of people in thwarting terrorist plots, calling on the Interior Ministry to create a public administration concerned with intellectual security.
