Etihad Airways has announced that its flights to and from Abu Dhabi have been disrupted this morning by the closure of Abu Dhabi International Airport due to severe fog. In a statement, Etihad Airways said that following the closure at 2:30 a.m., the airline diverted seven inbound flights to three other airports in the UAE - Dubai World Central, Al Ain and Al Bateen. Other inbound flights have been delayed, and departures from Abu Dhabi have been affected, WAM reported. The runways were re-opened at 3:40 a.m.. Etihad Airways said that it is working to minimize disruption to its customers, and will provide updates.
