The biggest failure to have ever faced Bill Clinton in his first term was his and his wife Hillary Clinton's inability to pass their healthcare plan bill between 1993 and 1994. After that, George W. Bush was elected and chose to spend the taxpayers' money on wars against Arabs and Muslims, instead of focusing the effort against the terrorism of al-Qaeda, until he bankrupted his country and the world along with it. Both presidents were then succeeded by Barack Obama, who had healthcare as the cornerstone of his legislative work. In fact, the bill that he initially proposed was greatly amended and weakened, and passed with a simple majority in the House of Representatives before passing on to the Senate. There, it was passed with great difficulty, after the Likudnik Senator Joe Lieberman blackmailed his former party and the administration for the price of his vote. The Democrats have a comfortable majority in the House of Representatives, in addition to having 58 percent of the seats in the Senate. Moreover, there are two independent Senators who usually vote with the Democratic Party: Joe Lieberman, from Connecticut, and Ben Nelson from Nebraska, which gives the Democrats the magic 60 in the Senate, and which guarantees that the Republicans will not obstruct the passing of bills by orchestrating filibusters. Nelson linked his approval of the healthcare bill to excluding any federal financing for abortion programs, and I accept that this is his personal conviction, and that he has no secret agendas on behalf of any party. Meanwhile, Lieberman's agenda has nothing secret about it: He is a fully declared Israeli before being American and places the interests of Israel above all other interests, including those of the United States itself. Ever since I started following this despicable Senator's work, all I remember is that he has always voted in support of Israel, and in opposition to any Arab or Muslims interest. I also read more than once readers mail in American periodical which focuses on his pro-Israel stances. If there is one clear example of what political wickedness is, the reader will find it in Lieberman's track record: He was the candidate for Vice President with Al Gore in the year 2000, and supported a healthcare plan bill at the time. However, he then opposed it under the Obama administration in order to blackmail the Democratic Party which abandoned him in 2006, forcing him to enter the Senate as an independent. He thus became the 60th magic majority Senator, something that he used against 47 million Americans who don't have healthcare insurance coverage, and which are otherwise available even to the citizens of the poorest nations in Central and Eastern Europe. I also contend that he attempted to thwart Obama's march by supporting John McCain in 2008, and perhaps he did want a black president who would call for a just peace in the Middle East. Nonetheless, Lieberman needed an excuse to justify his opposition to a healthcare bill that would benefit the Americans. However, he was so arrogant that he said during a television interview that he began opposing [the bill] when he noticed the enthusiasm shown by Liberals such as Rep. Anthony Weiner in supporting the bill (Weiner is important here for the sake of comparison; he is a Jew from New York who supports Israel; however, he also supports the citizens of his country, and my talk about Lieberman thus has nothing to do with the fact that he too is Jewish, but only with the fact that he is an extremist and foul opportunist). Lieberman said literally that he opposed the proposal to expand the state health plan to people as young as 55 because it will add taxpayer costs. I do not know hence what remains of this bill and what has been scrapped as a price for Lieberman's vote. If there are any real burdens on American taxpayers, these would be Israeli burdens before any other. It is known that Israel receives 1.8 billion dollars in military aides and 1.2 billion dollars in economic aids each year; however, this figure hides massive other aides. Each year, Israel receives additional military and economic aides, and loan guarantees, and the real figure hence almost approaches ten billion dollars - which also include tax exemptions for individuals' contribution to the State of Israel. The latter alone among the countries of the world enjoys increasing financial assistance requested by Congress, instead of being decreasing. Between 1949 and 1996, Israel received 62 billion dollars (this is only the declared figure as the real figure is probably higher), a number that is equivalent to all American aides to all the African countries south of the Sahara and to Latin America and the Caribbean combined. The undeclared aides have since also increased twofold, while aides assigned to poor countries did not increase. Israel is a fascist criminal state, an occupation state that murders women and children, and that is supported by the likes of Lieberman. This is all while countries in Africa which merely need to feed their citizens receive only very little U.S aid, compared with an overwhelming flux of aid to a country that does not deserve aides to start with, as per the U.S conditions themselves for this, because the per capita income in Israel is equivalent to that in many European countries. Lieberman supports the aides to the neo-Nazis in Israel, but opposes the limited-income citizens of his own country, and who need healthcare coverage. He is thus an insult to a democratic country that allows people like him to become influential legislators, and I cannot find in my dictionary any insults that would stoop to his level, and thus will stop here.
