Osama bin Laden is not dead. Osama bin Laden died in late 2001, early 2005 or mid-2006. All the above are assertions were made and published at the time, and I repeat them today with President Barack Obama's announcement of Bin Laden's death this week….again and again. I was expecting to read about a ‘conspiracy' in the Arab media, and left-wing and right-wing websites, and also those affiliated to fundamentalist groups. However, I was also surprised by the extent of the alleged conspiracy as detailed in the Western media, particularly the American media. Even Stella Olender, who lost her daughter Christine in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, asked whether this is true or not. I don't know, and it seems a bit odd to me that they disposed of the body (by throwing it into the sea). Many others also asked where the body was, and said they would not believe the news until they see it. Meanwhile, most of the websites affiliated with the Tea Party believed the administration's account. However, their readers criticized the timing and concluded that it was deliberately chosen to increase Obama's waning popularity. Of course, if the timing had indeed been chosen to prop up Obama, then the best timing would have been a week before the U.S. presidential elections on the first Tuesday of November, next year. But today, a thousand issues will no doubt flare up from now till then, and the news of al-Qaeda and its leader will fade with these. On the other hand, the proponents of a smaller government, (the libertarians, not to be confused with the liberals), who are a force to be reckoned with in American politics, questioned the official narrative, and some said that the aim of the administration behind the lie of killing bin Laden is to launch a new campaign to silence people. If the person killed was bin Laden's lookalike, then tomorrow or after tomorrow, the leader of al-Qaeda would distribute a video to mock the Americans as he habitually did. But if the person was killed is indeed bin Laden, then tomorrow or thereafter, his lookalike will distribute a video claiming that the Americans have lied. But I expect neither to happen because I do not believe the conspiracy theory in the first place, even the most infamous ones such as the Zionist, reactionary, imperialist, American or British ones. People do not need to conspire against us, because we conspire against ourselves and harm our own interests in a manner that even Israel fails to accomplish. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a racist decadent extremist, had sent a congratulatory message to the Americans and expressed joy at the death of bin Laden. While the Palestinian National Authority welcomed the killing of bin Laden and said that it served the cause of peace in the world, I was surprised to hear that Hamas, in the mouth of Dr. Ismail Haniya, the head of its dismissed government, denounced the assassination of bin Laden and described him as being an Arab mujahid [holy warrior] and prayed that God have mercy on him and place him among the martyrs and saints. Osama bin Laden is a terrorist, not a mujahid or a saint. His terrorism has done more harm to Muslims than their bitterest enemies in Israel with its advocates ever did. He is the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks of 9/11, which killed nearly three thousand innocent people. The George W. Bush administration responded with the known terrorism, and killed one million Muslims in Iraq and elsewhere, who perhaps would not have been killed were it not for the fact that the terrorism of al-Qaeda gave the previous U.S. administration the pretext it needed to invade Iraq. Moreover, the killing of Muslims was not monopolized by the Bush administration; al-Qaeda too killed scores more people who are Muslim in its attacks and suicide bombings than those it killed in New York City, Washington D.C. and everywhere else. Nevertheless, Dr. Haniya sees nothing of this, and instead opts to anger the Americans and increase their animosity towards us, two days after the announcement of the Palestinian reconciliation, and to help Israel, which is attacking the reconciliation and taking it to be a threat to itself. Could not Dr. Haniya have remained quiet instead? I wish he could see how the Likudnik American websites picked up and carried his statement. I thus take the reader back to my previous statement that we do not need people to conspire against us, because we are the best at doing so ourselves. Today, I defy my Arab identity and say that I believe that bin Laden was indeed killed as stated in Barack bin Hussein bin Obama's account, and I rely on the DNA tests which proved that the person killed is the leader of al-Qaeda almost “one hundred percent”. I will not believe any conspiracy theory about bin Laden, unless the proponents of such a theory can prove that Christ had committed suicide and was not killed by the Jews, that Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill John F. Kenney on 22/11/1963, and that Jack Ruby did not kill Oswald two days later when he was in police custody (this is while bearing in mind that Ruby ran a night club, and that his original name was Rubinstein and that he had changed it to disguise his real name).
