I feel greatly relieved and reassured. There is nothing in the news to cause chagrin or be a source of concern. Security is stable, and decision-making is in safe hands. The enemy will not succeed in infiltrating himself, as he is being awaited. Imperialism will not be able to spoil the awaited national celebration, as all doors are shut in its face. Should it try, it will suffer. The people impatiently await the happy news. As soon as they receive it, they will shower the headquarters of the ruling party with letters of support. People will take to the streets and will die of too much dancing and happiness. It would be a safe and happy country. I feel greatly relieved. I'm overwhelmed with an unprecedented wave of optimism. My faith in a bright future is immutable. It will be a golden opportunity for me to mock those who are desperate, those voices that caw like crows and claim that we live in a savage and unjust world. We are witnessing a nation that is creating its future by itself. It is a local creation that is not poisoned by the winds of democracy and the expectations of the corrupt West. I envy the people who live there and anyone who was lucky enough to be born on that fine land. The image of these countries is not tarnished by the fact that most of the people suffer from malnutrition. Perhaps it is the leader's wisdom for his people to suffer so that they can enjoy food later on if it becomes available. Also, perhaps the leader bases himself on notable studies that concluded that malnutrition is better than excessive eating, which leads to repletion, obesity, diabetes, and extravagance. Moreover, suffering is beneficial for citizens, as it pushes them to isolate themselves. It purges them from the diseases of indulgence and greed and prevents them from slipping into destructive activities such as talking about freedom and human rights and the shortage of goods in stores. Malnutrition is good for trimming the people and making citizens request nothing more than soothing their and their children's hunger pangs. The news is reassuring and pleasant. North Korea is getting ready to gather the main leaders of its ruling party for the first time in thirty years. According to preliminary information, the meeting will be “historic” and will pave for the way for passing the torch. It will witness the rise of Kim Jong-un (27 years old), the youngest son of the beloved Korean leader Kim Jong-il and the grandson of the creator, founder, and builder of the country, Kim-Il Sung, who was behind its revival. The official news agency assured that the meeting will be “historic” but did not mention the subject of succession, perhaps in order not to spoil the pleasant surprise of the citizens when the new star will shine in their country's sky. It will not be a staggering transition, and a smooth transition must be organized. Also, there must be a confirmation that the new leader is able to lead a country whose collapsed economy depends on the production of rockets and the game of nuclear blackmail. Some time must be given to the advisors and the promotional team. Indeed, a leader there must be a genius in the arts of war and economics, and must also be the first in physics, chemistry, poetry, and prose. I envy those who were born there, far from the country of the cedars and the “Cedar Revolution”, and away from Fakhreddine, Jibran Khalil Jibran, and the Rahbani brothers. I envy them. Kim Jong-il is not a consensual leader. He can choose what to have for dinner without holding a national dialogue. The dirty laundry of their parliament is not hung on TV stations; their government does not resemble the tower of Babel; their judicial system has not surrendered to fate; their army is not a consensual one that produces presidents of the Republic and does not produce security for its citizens. I envy them. They do not have a long chain of martyrs where the question about the identity of their killers is considered a crime that threatens civil peace. They do not have an explosive file called the truth. They do not have an international tribunal whose indictment is claimed to ignite a huge fire that will scorch everything. They do not have a deputy who demands a high-ranking official to defend the sect's honor. They do not have a deputy who threatens at least half the population. They do not have a civil war that is ready to be waged or a sectarian clash that spreads like wildfire. They also do not have statements of the kind that accelerates Iraqization. I know that Kim Jong-un's mission will not be an easy one. There is the problem of international isolation. We cannot help him, as we might be heading towards it. He cannot depend on us to combat economic collapse and poverty, as our misery is probably on the increase. I know that he has a serious problem with the electric current. The solution would be to lend him the “Minister of Darkness”, for the country has paid dearly to ensure his rise.
