Ayoon Wa Azan (The Nation Is Dead and That is a Fact)
Published in AL HAYAT on 25 - 01 - 2010

Here are some news from this week:
- Benjamin Netanyahu and the organized criminal gang otherwise known as the Israeli government visited Germany, where the two countries signed agreements in the fields of science, education, economy and agriculture. I also read that Israel will deploy modern German-made submarines to the Gulf, as Iran was one of the hot topics in the discussions between the two sides, and not to mention that the German Chancellor Angela Merkel is leading so far failed efforts of the six major powers to impose new sanctions on Iran.
I reiterate here that Iran is just an Israeli excuse to circumvent the peace process. I also accuse the Chancellor of complicity with Israel, whether ignorantly or deliberately; in any case, the result is one and the same.
The Jews were the victims of Nazi Germany, and six million Jews were killed at its hand. Then, Palestinians became victims of post-Nazi Germany, when the Europeans colluded against them to compensate for their crime against the Jews, and which they committed either directly or by remaining silent. They thus facilitated the stealing of Palestine by the Jews, while Germany has paid, and is still paying, reparations for the victims of the Nazis. This eventually enabled [the Jews] to occupy and expand their territories at the expense of the Palestinian victims.
Perhaps, the time has now come for us to demand that Germany pay indemnities to the Arab victims of German Nazism and the German Democracy that followed it, for what they suffered from Jewish colonists, especially that the Arabs have never been accountable for their problem, neither in the past, nor today.
In fact, every Palestinian who was expelled from his home or whose home was demolished to make way for a Jewish survivor of the Nazi atrocities is entitled to compensation by the German government for his losses.
Of course, the German government is not likely at all to pay indemnities to the Palestinians for the damages they have suffered, because of the policy followed by Germans since the thirties and till today. As a matter of fact, the German government is preoccupied, until this very day. with the trial of John Demjanjuk, a guard in a Nazi concentration camp where 250 thousand Jews were killed.
First of all, the Israeli Supreme Court itself acquitted Demjanjuk.
Second, trying him will not absolve Germany of its responsibility for the mass murdering of Jews; nor can the details of Nazi brutality that will emerge during his trial be blamed on one man, but rather on all Germans under Hitler.
Third, Demjanjuk is nearly ninety years old and has poor health. Yet, Merkel's government is focusing its attention on him, while ignoring Israel's daily crimes against the Palestinians and the ongoing occupation of their lands, not to mention the role of German money in all of this.
I was meaning to call for the boycott of Germany, but who amongst the Arabs will do so? The Nation is dead and it is a fact.
- One of the causes why the nation is dead is that half of it is confined to imprisonment, and since I will not say today anything I had not said before about Arab women, I will content myself with an American news item published this week.
In 1970, the income of only four percent of working American women was higher than their husbands', and in 2007, this percentage rose to 22 percent. Perhaps, we will find the roots of this improvement in other numbers: in 1970, 52 percent of men and women in the United States had equal levels of education, and among the rest, 28 percent of men were better educated that their wives. These figures then changed and in 2007, 53 percent of men and women now had equal education, while 28 percent of women were better educated that their spouses and 19 percent of men were more educated than their wives. (In Britain, one fifth of women earn higher wages than their husbands).
Where are the Arab women then? While they indeed do excel in education as exam results show every year, this does not reflect itself in more freedoms or equality in jobs and wages, or in their rights, to begin with.
- A genetic study of more than 2,000 men conducted by Leicester University has shown that Britons and Europeans in general are descendants of Iraqi and Syrian farmers who migrated to the West ten thousand years ago.
Does this mean that we have colonized ourselves in the past two centuries? And since white Americans are of European origin, does this mean that we have waged a war against ourselves in Iraq recently? The university study has many details (Al-Hayat published it in part last Thursday), and is available online as well.
-My name is still causing me problems. I have recently written an article, in which I explained how the Arabic term “al-Jihad” is simply written as “Jihad” in English. I thus end up being responsible for all real or alleged terrorism in both the East and the West.
-Last but not least, I read “American-born Jihad”, which is not true, or “Jihad: The Musical”. I have now become a musical concert? Have pity, people! But if you give me the ticket revenues, then I will forgive you.
