The European Union (EU) will participate tomorrow at the special meeting on the situation in Libya, which is to be held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.An EU source said in Brussels that Catherine Ashton, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission will attend the meeting in the Egyptian capital. The League's special meeting will also be attended by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and AU Commission Chairman Jean Ping. The Cairo meeting is preceded by another meeting of the International Contact Group on Libya to be held the day after tomorrow in the Qatari capital, Doha.
