We have no interest in Iran rage or satisfaction while it is conveying strong messages towards the Arabian Gulf and acting as a guardian sent by heaven to watch over these countries. The model set by - Hussein Fairouz Paddy - the Iranian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces insisting on calling it the Persian Gulf and adding that “the overlooking States are dictatorships and part of Persia” is not rational. This is just to distract attention from what is happening in the region and embodies fears of the fall of his regionally and internationally isolated regime. Changes in the Arab world were not a result of the Iranian revolution teachings but will rather reflect on the suppression of the Iranian people. We were hoping that Mr. Hussein would view relations from a diplomatic angle rather than a military one and to adopt a different notions away from threatening and intimidation. Gulf States have revealed the excesses of Iran exporting weapons and recruiting spies to breach the security of these countries under the pretext of the right of demonstration and freedom. This may be acceptable if released by a democratic state which is dealing with the rest of the world through its channels. Rather unacceptable to be released by a repressive state which has isolated and imprisoned symbols of its revolution and placed other in house arrest. Pictures broadcasted from cities in Iran show suppression of demonstration by using gun shots and killing. Those who advocate freedom and democracy should apply it first. Rational nations are not in need of advice from countries lacking credibility of its own people. Gulf States endeavored to establish relationship with Iran and be an access of exports and imports to break the siege imposed by the world. Arab officials addressed Iran in civilized way but Iran failed to meet with the minimum level of flexible diplomacy. The way Iran handles its relationship with the Arab region and central Asia (with the latter fearing from the influence of the Arab uprisings) has taken it back to square one. The cold war waged by Iran is based on the justification for its eligibility to be the center around which all the regional countries should revolve. This concept does not come by spreading chaos, but rather by coexistence and mutual interests. The behavior of officials in the Iranian government is aiming to relieve the internal pressure and the loss of its allies which is a policy no longer valid if national cohesion is not based on equal rights for all ethnic groups, minorities and other sects. The world has witnessed the massacres of the Ahwaz and how they were deprived from using Arabic language as well as Kurds, Baluchistan, Azeri's and others who do not enjoy full citizenship equally with the Persian race. We do not intend to follow and respond to the exaggerations of the Iranian government as we have more important issues than the banners of protest and highlighting the failure of others. It is a useless trend we tried before. Iran should satisfy its own people and deal rationally and responsibly to balance between ideology and interests if it wishes to break isolation. A process that requires an understanding of ways to make it to safety.
