Yemen's armed forces will not tolerate any attack on the "constitutional order" in the country that is gripped by protests calling for the ouster of the president, a statement said on Monday.The armed forces "will not allow any attack on democracy and the constitutional order" in Yemen, said the statement, issued in the name of the "armed forces" and carried by the official Saba news agency. "The armed forces announce that they remain faithful to their oath to the political leadership, directed by President (Ali Abdullah) Saleh," the statement said.General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, commander of the Northwest Military District which includes Sanaa, announced on Monday that he had joined the "revolution."
