OIC trade and food security on a sustainable basis, so as to foster economic growth and improve standard of living of the vulnerable segments of OIC population. The Secretary General implored the meeting of Board of Directors to give adequate support to the ICDT so that it could be adequately strengthened to engage in its traditional trade and investment promotion activities, in general, and in the agricultural and food security sector, in particular. This engagement will go a long way in supporting OIC Member States to achieve the double objectives of 20% of OIC intra-trade and combating poverty, as mandated by the TYPOA. The Secretary-General congratulated the ICDT and its Director General Allal Rachdi for the excellent work undertaken by the Centre during the past years. --spa
