Maj Gen. Dr. Ketab Eid Al Oteibi, the Director of Department of Medical Services of the Armed Forces, will launch on Tuesday the 1st International Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Conference entitled "Emerging Insights" organized by The Pharmacy Department of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center (PSCC), at Riyadh Four Season Hotel here, with the participation of a number of specialists. Lieutenant Colonel Mazin Fahd Al Omran, The Director of PSCC said the two-day conference comes within the framework of the PSCC"s keenness to keep in pace with the latest updates in the field of cardiology and highlight the role of pharmacists in the field. The Conference will also include two workshops, namely "Role of the Pharmacists in Improving the Management of Chronic CHF,and ECG: Applications for Pharmacists". Among the national speakers at the event are Dr. Meshal Almutairi; Dr. Ahmed Aljedaie; Dr.Fadwa Alkhuraisi; Dr.Nada Alqadheib; Dr.Abdulaziz Tuwaijri; Dr.Ghada Bawazeer, and Dr.Muneera Albabtain. Dr.James E. Tisdale, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS will be the keynote speaker from abroad. The key topics to be covered include: Patient"s focused care, multidisciplinary cooperation and integrating evidence-based medicine in clinical pharmacy applications. Meanwhile, The conference is accredited with 15 CME by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
