Russia reported 8855 new infections of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally of infections to 458,689 cases. In its daily briefing, Russian Emergency Center said the country has also witnessed 197 new deaths from the virus, bringing the number of deaths to 5725.
