Canada on Monday reopened its diplomatic mission in Iraq, 10 years after its closure, dpa quoted the Canadian Foreign Ministry as saying. Canada Foreign Minister John Baird, who is currently in Baghdad, said while inaugurating the mission that his country is willing to "expand ties with Iraq and increase trade exchange between the two countries." Canada's main embassy in the region is based in Amman, while its mission in Baghdad will be staffed by a charge d'affaires working inside the British embassy.
