A program was launched here Saturday to provide jobs to a large number of unemployed Saudi youths in different fields. The program, launched by Americana in cooperation with the JCCI in the JCCI premises, aims to provide an opportunity to Saudi youths to enroll themselves to be trained in several job-oriented courses. “We have already received 400 young Saudis,” said Walid Al-Qadi, general manager of the program. Scrutiny of all applications will be done through the Saudization sector in the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of cooperation between the private sector and business houses for increasing the rate of Saudization, he said. According to Al-Qadi, the program has made arrangements to tour the Kingdom to look for candidates willing to make their career in different restaurants as secretaries, group supervisors and cashiers. Americana is going to hire 200 young Saudis from Jeddah itself and continue to search for talent in other provinces to fill 400 more vacancies, Al-Qadi said. “There are substantial advantages in these available jobs; the pay is not less than SR3,000 for the group supervisor and a minimum of SR2,500 for rest of the jobs. In addition to the pay, medical and accident insurance will also be provided,” said Abdul Aziz Al-Awaji, Director of Human Resources and Training in the Western Region.
