It is not merely the housing law; it is the divorce law, the employment law, all areas of law. Fatima, Online response Having your name on a home loan does not decrease the divorce rate. If a woman's name is on the loan, it makes her liable for one-half of the payment. Does she have the income to support the payment? Does she have the income to buy out her soon to be ex-husband if a divorce is in their future? Can she continue to make payments?
