King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) continues its Lifelong Learning Initiative (LLI) program with a robust slate of courses offered this summer and fall. LLI is a hands-on educational and academic training program that supports priority objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030 in key development areas aimed to mobilize the labor market across governmental and private sectors. Courses cover local and international themed-topics in areas including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, smart health, business analysis, circular carbon, the environment and other potential subjects. To promote this new initiative, the LLI committee decided to locate its headquarters in Riyadh, and offer programs throughout the Kingdom's major cities, including Jeddah, Dammam and NEOM. Training Courses KAUST LLI focuses on providing outstanding and diverse and integrated training programs to strengthen national expertise in government and business sectors, and to cover the career path in all work fields. The following training courses will be offered: Summer The AI training courses at King Saud University in Riyadh have witnessed an overwhelming number of registered students, with more than 1,200 students from more than 20 Saudi universities participating. To meet this demand, KAUST is now offering two additional AI summer camps In Riyadh and Jeddah, including a five-day course on AI on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. Fall Fall courses (September and December 2022) will include more than 20 sessions covering five key topics of national and international impact: AI, data science, ML, DL, applied mathematics, cybersecurity, business analytics, Bioinformatics, materials science, the internet of things (IoT) for industrial applications, circular carbon, and smart health. KAUST will accredit these training courses, and participants will either receive a certificate of accreditation, diploma, professional development, professional master's degrees, and executive education and training. — SG
