ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday announced 189 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 61,352, the Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement carried by WAM. The new patients, all of whom are in a stable health condition and receiving the necessary care, were detected after 29,398 additional COVID-19 tests were conducted among different segments of the society over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment. In a statement, the Ministry highlighted its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. The ministry also said that an additional 227 individuals fully recovered from the deadly virus, taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 55,090. The ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
