Pakistan's Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani received here on Saturday evening Prince Bandar Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdulaziz, the Secretary General of the National Security Council currently on a visit to Pakistan. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between two countries and ways of enhancing cooperation in all fields.During the meeting, Prince Bandar Ibn Sultan said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has full appreciation and respect for the Pakistani Government and people and considers Pakistan as its strategic partner. He affirmed that Saudi Arabia is looking forward to enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields, stressing the Kingdom's continuing stance in support of Pakistan in all circumstances. On his part, the Pakistani Prime Minister affirmed strong bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples, noting that the Pakistani people have full appreciation and respect for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud. He said that Pakistan is proceeding forward with its policy of permanent standing by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at all international arenas in the service of world security and peace, reiterating his country's desire for enhancing its strategic partnership and expanding its relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Gilani expressed his thanks to the Kingdom for its support and standing by Pakistan in difficult times, especially in the flood disaster last year as well as the devastating earthquake disaster in 2005. He emphasized the importance of the unification of efforts of the international community to fight terrorism, stressing his country's support for the reconciliation process in Afghanistan. The meeting was attended Pakistani Minister of Interior Rehman Malik and a number of senior Pakistani officials.
