Seven Arab countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are participating in a scientific workshop on 'Techniques of Criminal Investigation in Cases of Terrorism,' which started Sunday its works in the Qatari capital. The other six Arab countries, which are participating in the workshop are Algeria, Sudan, Syria, Kuwait, Lebanon and Qatar. The workshop is organized by the Qatari Interior Ministry, represented by the Police Training Institute in cooperation with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS). In an address at the workshop, a senior official of the Qatari Police Training Institute said the fruits of this scientific workshop will be the lasting collaboration between the Institute and NAUSS in particular and its beneficial outcomes that would reflect on the Police performance in general.'This workshop is also providing a good opportunity for the convergence of junior officers to exchange experiences and expertise to achieve the desired goals. The aim of the workshop, which will continue until next Thursday, is to enrich participants with the required skills in the field of modern techniques in the investigation of terrorist crimes and usages of the Internet in the fight against terrorism,' he added. 'It will also benefit the concerned officers in-charge of anti-terror, forensic evidence and security information departments in the Arab countries,' the official said.
