Seven people were killed early Saturday when a bus carrying a wedding party crashed in the Indian state of West Bengal, authorities said. Police said the driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle, which flipped over, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported. Seventy people were injured in the crash, at least six of them seriously. Two of the dead were reported to be children. The bus was taking the passengers from Kolkol, a village in the Burdwan district, to a wedding in Birpara in the neighboring Birbhum district. The crash occurred at around 3:30 a.m.
